Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Pune is a prestigious technical education institute formally inaugurated on 11th October 2002. In 2017, VIIT became an autonomous institute under the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).

The Institute imparts world-class education in Engineering with a focus on developing manpower with entrepreneurship qualities. Academic Programmes

VIIT offers different Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D. programmes in Engineering: Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology & Engineering and Applied Sciences. From the academic year 2017-18 the UG and PG Programmes are offered under Academic Autonomy. The students who successfully complete these programmes shall be awarded B.Tech. and M.Tech. Degrees.
